Frequently Asked Questions & Studio Policies

Frequently Asked Questions

I’m new to Pilates. Are your classes appropriate for beginners?

Absolutely. You don’t need previous Pilates experience to get started at Renegade. Everyone takes the class together, but not everyone has to do the exact same workout. Our instructors can adjust springs, range of motion and exercises based on your experience, strength and individual needs.

If you have an injury, significant physical limitation or simply aren’t sure where to begin, a Private Pilates session may be the best place to start.

How often should I take Pilates classes?

For most people, 2–4 Pilates sessions per week is a great goal, depending on your experience, schedule and fitness goals. Consistency matters more than trying to do as much as possible at once.

What should I bring to class?

Grip socks are required for all reformer classes. You’re welcome to bring your own or purchase a pair at the studio. Wear comfortable, fitted workout clothing that allows you to move freely. Bring a water bottle if you’d like; filtered water is available for refills.

What if I have an injury or physical limitation?

Please let us know before class about any injuries, surgeries or physical limitations that could affect your workout. We regularly work with clients who need modifications, but some situations are better suited to one-on-one instruction before joining a group class.

If you’re unsure, explore our Private Pilates in Miami options or contact the studio so we can help determine the most appropriate place to start.

Can I do Pilates while pregnant?

Pilates can often be adapted during pregnancy, but your needs may change throughout each trimester. Please let us know that you are pregnant before participating and obtain clearance from your healthcare provider when appropriate. Depending on your stage of pregnancy, experience and individual needs, we may recommend private instruction rather than a group class.
