Renegade Pilates: Your Pilates Destination

Renegade Pilates Miami was founded on November 30, 2016 and was originally located on NE 79th St just east of Biscayne Blvd.

Thanks to our wonderful friends and clients we quickly outgrew this location, and on November 1, 2018 moved just a few short blocks away to a beautiful, sun-filled space on the corner of Biscayne Blvd and NE 82nd Terrace where we occupy the entire 2nd floor on top of Cartronics. For your convenience we have private gated parking on NE 82nd Terrace. Just park your car and use the gray and white staircase in the parking lot to come upstairs and enter at the top of the terrace!

Renegade Pilates is available for rentals for film, television, personal and corporate events and parties (3 hour minimum required).

OUR PILATES INSTRUCTORS

Leslie Lawson

Leslie first began practicing Pilates in 2001 while living in New York City. As a child she was active in gymnastics and dance, playing on the monkey bars for hours on end. She started lifting weights at her local gym as a teenager and always dreamed of owning a fitness studio.

After rediscovering Pilates to rehab a severe shoulder injury, Leslie decided to take the dive and realize her vision. In 2017, she decided to delve further into the world of movement by earning her Mat, Advanced Mat and Reformer I Certifications through Power Pilates. In 2019 Leslie completed her comprehensive teacher training at Pilates Plus in Miami Beach. Leslie boasts over 900 hours of PMA-approved Teacher Training and brings over 7 years of dynamic teaching experience to her practice.

Over the years Leslie and her team have built strong relationships teaching at the Four Seasons Surfside, as well as launching a mat Pilates program for 6-12 graders at MiMo’s esteemed Cushman School.

Under Leslie’s leadership and dedication, Renegade Pilates earned the 2024 Best of Miami Distinguished Teaching Award, proudly ranked #1 of 177 Pilates studios in the city.
